This kind of 3rd world, tribalist, anti-West mentality is responsible for many African nations apparent inability to modernize. It’s paralyzing, and inhibits any real progress. I DO think the nations of Africa need to develop some healthy nationalism and limit the influence of predatory foreign interests, but not to the extent of racism and xenophobia – you DO actually need some foreign trade in order to maintain a healthy economy.
