Excerpts from my twisted mind.

Red Wave Rising

I hope this latest Democrat-created debacle illustrates for many of you what I have been saying for ages – we cannot be bi-partisan. This is because the Democrat party is the party of evil. You cannot be unified with evil. There was a time when both parties were basically pro-American, had similar goals, but slightly different ways of reaching them, but those days are long gone. We can’t work with these people. We can’t accommodate them. We can’t “reach across the aisle.” We can only defeat them. Democrats are the enemies of free people. They hate our country. They hate our Christian faith. They hate our traditions and cultural values. They hate. They must be driven by legal means from every position of power never to return. Vote. Get yourself to the polls and vote. Send the RINOs and the Communist-Democrats down in flames. There’s a red wave rising…

Old Wounds

As a friend of mine pointed out, this wretched show trial, this character assassination of an innocent man, has dredged up a lot of bad memories and feelings for a lot of victims of despicable male behavior. I have to think this was the goal. The Democrats are hurting you in order to keep a guy off the Supreme Court. They want you to react emotionally, to put you right back in those bad feelings, and then transfer those bad feelings to another, in this case Judge Kavanaugh. They are exploiting your trauma, your pain, to achieve their goals. This makes their already wicked actions that much more wicked.

Whatever may have happened to you, I am very sorry it did. It angers and disgusts me that a man would ever harm a woman. My father (a man) raised me better than that. Most of us are the same. We have sisters, mothers, daughters, whom we love and would do bloody violence to protect. We know how we’d like our ladies to be treated by other men, so that’s how we act towards other men’s sisters, mothers, and daughters. It’s what the Bible expressly teaches “Treat all younger women like sisters, all older women like mothers.” And to paraphrase the Apostle Paul “Keep your hands to yourself.” It’s not hard to do.

All I can say is, when we see men treating women badly, it is the duty of decent men to step up and stop it, violently if need be. And ladies, please don’t let the tribalism of the Left suck you in. You’re not a victim. You’re a conqueror. The actions of one bad man in your life should not be used as propaganda tools by a callous, immoral pack of lying Leftists to smear an innocent man. These are the same people who smeared the victims of Bill Clinton’s rapes, and Harvey Weinstein’s abuses. They don’t get to take the moral high ground, not ever.

Tribalism

Tribalism. This is what we are seeing with Kavanaugh. Is he guilty because there’s evidence, or because there’s witnesses, or because a court found him guilty following all those other things? No, he’s guilty because he’s part of the “man tribe”, and a member of the “woman tribe” has accused him. He is guilty solely because he’s male. And probably also because he’s white, and Christian, and conservative. I am disturbed by how many women have already decided he’s guilty. They don’t care there’s no proof. They don’t care that the accuser is shady as hell. All I keep seeing is women who had “something happen” to them, and so that makes this man also guilty because he happens to be a part of the same tribe as the guy who harmed them.

Celebrate America Proudly!

Happy 4th of July!

Today numerous Americans will be grilling tasty animal flesh, waving their American flags, going to picnics and airshows, and of course, blowing stuff up. It’s a great day, a glorious day, and personally, one of my favorite holidays, not the least of which because it also happens to be my Dad’s birthday. And because I’m a pyro. 🔥👍

I have noted a trend among some evangelicals who seem to want to divorce patriotic displays, hymns, or content from the church, out of some misplaced sense of fairness. They claim that we shouldn’t be conflating patriotism with fealty to Jesus Christ. This is certainly true, but I don’t think that’s what patriotism really is, nor are Christianity and patriotism mutually exclusive. They claim it makes people feel bad who are disturbed by our country, to which the only right response, in my mind, is that of Michael Bolton from Office Space: “Why should we change, they’re the ones who suck!” And they seem to have rooted in the trough of Leftism and bought the lie that America isn’t great, was never great, and we should all be humble and apologetic because of all the terrible things our country has done, like abolishing slavery, giving women the vote and defeating the Nazis. There is also the sense that participation in civil government is somehow beneath us as Christians.

I can’t speak for Presbyterians, Catholics, or Episcopalians, but as a Baptist I feel I must point out a few pertinent facts to these apparently anti-American Christians who seem ignorant of history.

Baptists are as American as baseball and apple pie. The European tradition of rebellion against Catholic hegemony began with the Anabaptists, who got their name because they rejected the heretical practice of infant baptism. And suffered for it. And were martyred for it. This took root in the American Colonies, where the Baptists were a persecuted minority. Who was doing the persecuting? That would be the Puritans, separatists from the Church of England who had come to America seeking religious freedom, and proceeded to deny it to everybody not Puritan. Today they are called Episcopalian. The Puritans martyred, flogged, imprisoned, and exiled the Baptists to the wilderness (a death sentence), all because they refused to baptize their babies, and because they insisted on personal faith in Jesus Christ as a prerequisite for both baptism and church membership. They also insisted on democratically electing their leaders, and were guilty of preaching without a license. One man, a preacher named Shubal Stearns, started hundreds of Baptist churches all over the Old South, what we call the Bible Belt today. Long before the Revolution and the Constitution the Baptists were advocating for freedom of conscience and freedom of religion throughout the Colonies, and suffered for it at the hands of the Anglicans, who wanted the Church of England to become the Church of America.

So you know those liberties you love and enjoy, or hate and seek to destroy if you’re a Leftist? You have those because of Baptists. Baptists pressed the government to guarantee religious liberty to all of its citizens, and the First Amendment to the US Constitution was the result. As opposed to entirely fabricated made up rights like abortion or gay marriage, the First Amendment forbids Congress from establishing a state religion like in Europe, and absolutely guarantees that all citizens of the United States have the natural right to worship, or not, as their own consciences dictates. Freedom of conscience has been one of the defining historical characteristics of Baptists from the very beginning. And they managed to get it enshrined in the Constitution to the great benefit of us all.

Now I think that the wording of the 1st amendment is crystal clear, namely that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”, but the Danbury Baptist Association of Connecticut felt it wasn’t strong enough in its wording. They feared it could be interpreted to mean that the right to freedom of religion was granted by government and could therefore be denied by that government, rather than being a natural right, granted by God, and recognized by government. In other words, an inalienable right.

So, they wrote the newly elected President Thomas Jefferson a letter in 1801, which stated that “Our sentiments are uniformly on the side of religious liberty: that Religion is at all times and places a matter between God and individuals, that no man ought to suffer in name, person, or effects on account of his religious opinions, [and] that the legitimate power of civil government extends no further than to punish the man who works ill to his neighbor. But sir, our constitution of government is not specific. Our ancient charter, together with the laws made coincident therewith, were adapted as the basis of our government at the time of our revolution. And such has been our laws and usages, and such still are, [so] that Religion is considered as the first object of Legislation, and therefore what religious privileges we enjoy (as a minor part of the State) we enjoy as favors granted, and not as inalienable rights. And these favors we receive at the expense of such degrading acknowledgments, as are inconsistent with the rights of freemen. It is not to be wondered at therefore, if those who seek after power and gain, under the pretense of government and Religion, should reproach their fellow men, [or] should reproach their Chief Magistrate, as an enemy of religion, law, and good order, because he will not, dares not, assume the prerogative of Jehovah and make laws to govern the Kingdom of Christ.”

To this, Thomas Jefferson penned perhaps one of the most influential private letters ever written, in which he responded “Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legislative powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature would “make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” thus building a wall of separation between Church and State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.”

We have then the reverent enshrining of freedom of conscience and Separation of Church and State in American legal precedent and tradition. And we have it because of Baptists.

When we celebrate Independence as a nation, it is therefore entirely appropriate that American Christians participate fully and enthusiastically, seeing as how the nation we love and defend would not exist in its present form with its rights and liberties were it not for the ever present influence of its Christian citizens. As our sixth President, John Quincey Adams once said, “The highest, the transcendent glory of the American Revolution was this — it connected, in one indissoluble bond, the principles of civil government with the precepts of Christianity.” Far from staying out of American politics, Christians have been involved in every major change every step of the way. It was Christians that fought and died to finally end the barbaric practice of human slavery, and other Christians who fought to end segregation and Jim Crow. It was Christians who worked and marched to get women the vote. It was Christians who built hospitals, and schools, and orphanages to give shelter, aid, and education to the poor and the needy. It was Christians who worked to bring temperance to America so women and children wouldn’t have to be abused by drunken men. It was Christians who have stood with Israel, and Christians who stood against Marxism and Fascism and Progressivism. And most recently, it was Christians who put Donald Trump in the White House where he will appoint perhaps as many as three strict constructionist Supreme Court Justices who will, in due time, overturn Roe v Wade and end the horrific practice of infanticide/abortion. America may not be a Christian nation, but it has been a country that favors Christianity, one where the concept of inalienable rights and religious freedom allows those Christians to work to make and maintain a free country we can all be proud of.

Frankly, I cannot see how any American Christian, let alone a Baptist, can fail to celebrate his country, be grateful to God for his heritage, and rejoice in the freedoms he enjoys as a direct result of the labors and sacrifices of multiple prior generations of American Christians. It is disrespectful and ungrateful to do any less. So I say, go all in! Wave those flags! Sing that National Anthem! Preach about freedom and liberty, from the pulpit, in the truest and finest tradition of American preachers! Have that barbecue! Blow up those firecrackers! And above all, enjoy being American, and a citizen of the greatest country on Earth since Israel. Never be ashamed of this great gift that God has given you! God bless America! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

My Deepest Apologies to My Betters at Facebook

Recently I was banned from Facebook for hate speech. In context, I was replying to one of the many lame, weepy, emotional posts about migrant children, trying to bring some reason to a very emotional, and frankly whacko fake crisis genned up to distract Americans from the far more serious Inspector General Report. Within that overall response, I pointed out that the Left are all about separating families. I cited abortion, which separates babies from their mother’s womb, and homosexual “marriage”, which depending on the configuration either deprives children of mothers or fathers. This was a huge mistake.

As a Christian who actually believes the Bible, I try not to be hateful to anybody. I wasn’t calling for violence. I wasn’t calling anybody a Nazi. I wasn’t advocating harm of any kind. But since I insisted on employing Christian speech fully consistent with the teachings of both Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul, I found myself in the shameful position of being in violation of Facebook’s Community Standards.

I am concerned that Facebook’s Community Standards are a little vague, which is probably by design so they can apply them at will to anyone they wish to lovingly correct. So, as a service to the Community, I have prepared some guidelines to keep the average Christian from being inadvertently but justly banned.

1) Do not be derogatory towards homosexuals.

It is very important that you do not use any language that could be considered offensive or hurtful to these shining bastions of virtue and goodness. Do not use terminology such as pervert, sexual deviant, sodomite, faggot, or the like. These are very hurtful. Even contemplating these or even worse terms such as fudge packer, breech loader, ass bandit or carpet muncher will do such irreparable harm to your mind as to bring you into violation of Facebook’s forthcoming Community Thought Standards, so you should probably go ahead and scroll down.

I know you’re probably confused. How, you may ask, can a man jamming his erect member up another man’s poop chute or a woman intentionally looking and acting like Rosie O’Donnell be considered normal? Simply asking the question, let alone thinking it, demonstrates how backwards, hateful, and immoral you are. Perhaps millions of years of human behavior has been geared towards what, until the last 30 years, was normal human biological reproduction. But no more. Humanity has evolved, and the entire other 99% of the human population must learn to accept this bold new definition of normal in order to avoid offending the 1% that has learned a beautiful new use for the rectum.

2) Do not criticize gay marriage.

This is huge. I know your first instinct is to want to yield to common sense and also several thousand years of normal human practice worldwide, and affirm that marriage should only be between one man and one woman. This is how it has been done for ages. It was the process by which, until very recently, children were produced biologically (see point 1) and then reared in a safe, loving, nurturing environment. But you would be wrong. The Supreme Court has spoken, and obviously, all of reality must bend to fit their wise and benevolent rule.

You probably don’t realize it, but simply by loving your wife as a man, or loving your husband as a woman, and wishing to marry one another for love and perhaps the production of offspring, you are guilty of bigotry and hate. Gay people cannot control what they are, obviously. The rest of us simply endeavoring to do what was perfectly normal until less than 1% of the population discovered a new normal for the other 99% is a supreme act of hatred, because it denies these poor people their God given right to completely circumvent both reason and biology.

Do not suggest that it is social and cultural suicide to force a new kind of normal on the 99% of the population that had not known there was anything previously wrong with the old normal.

Do not imply that children need Fathers. Fatherhood is part of the patriarchy, and is an example of toxic masculinity and rape culture. The definition of “family” must be permitted to continue to evolve to someday include, I assume, such bold and noble configurations as marriage to farm animals and breakfast cereal. You have to let events take their course.

3) Accept your place in this brave new world.

Please understand, Christian, people on the Left are better than us and smarter than us, so it’s okay for less than 1% of the population to redefine normal for everyone else. This is the natural side effect of their wise and benevolent management of reality.

It is not enough for society to merely allow gay marriage or homosexuality to exist. Everyone, no matter their religious affiliation or prior protection under the 1st Amendment of the United States Constitution, must utterly alter their thinking. You cannot merely agree with Big Brother – you must love Big Brother.

If we are unwilling to alter our traditional Christian beliefs, our continued existence only fosters more hate.

It’s not hard, Christians. All you have to do is abandon your wrong thinking and get your minds right with Facebook’s new more accepting and tolerant Community Standards, and you should not have any problems.

I hope this clarified set of Facebook Community Standards has helped you. Don’t be guilty of hate speech, like me!

America Is Multi-Ethnic, Not Multicultural

America is unique among the nations in that we are bound to one another not by ethnic heritage, but by ideology. American culture makes us all American. So, you can celebrate your national heritage, and we can all celebrate with you. Irish, Italian, German, Jewish, Polish, West African, Indian, Indigenous, and so forth, all add their unique characteristics to the nation as a whole. We can enjoy our uniqueness and still be unified to one another because of our common American identity. It’s why our country is so incredible.

Multiculturalism is Marxism with a different label. It starts with the idea that American culture is evil and oppressive, and that all other cultures, no matter how barbaric, backwards, and repressive, are equal to ours. As a matter of fact, our success means we have to endlessly apologize for who we are, and be made ashamed of our superior cultural heritage. Multiculturalism divides American from American, spits on our flag, spits on our history and values, and diminishes the individual in the face of a pervasive identity politics groupthink. America is great because her people are great. America is superior because her culture is superior. We succeed because we’re better. No matter how you got here, if you’re a citizen, either natural born or naturalized, you are my countryman. Thank God that of all the places you could have been birthed, He put you in the United States. And that is a very great blessing indeed. God bless America!

Golden Rule

Project Post-Apocalypse

One of my husbandly duties is watching shows my wife likes (she watches buttloads of stuff I like). So, for nearly our entire married life, I have been watching Project Runway. Usually on Sunday nights after church (I long ago stopped watching live TV). Being the male that I am, I find myself constructing scenarios consisting of which contestants would survive after the zombies take over/post nuclear war. Without a doubt all the weepy, spineless, weak, sniveling contestants would be immediately torn apart and devoured. Probably a lot of the women, also. Heidi Klum of course would wind up dressed like Tina Turner in Mad Max, running Barter Town out of lower Manhattan. Tim Gunn would be her stylish, but ruthless lieutenant. So naturally, every time she says it, I hear “This week we find out which one of you will be in, and which one of you will be summarily executed.” Those in the bottom each week of course have to enter Thunderdome – “Two designers enter! One designer leaves!” Timm Gunn wears a leather jacket, carries a bat wrapped in barbed wire, and warns the surviving designers that they’d better “Make it Work, Or Else!” I think deep down that’s the version of Project Runway most husbands would like to see. 😀

Operation: Mindcrime

“Do you know where you are, Winston?” he said.
“I don’t know. I can guess. In the Ministry of Love.”…
“And why do you imagine that we bring people to this place?”
“To make them confess.”…
“No!” exclaimed O’Brien. His voice had changed extraordinarily, and his face had suddenly become both stern and animated. “No! Not merely to extract your confession, nor to punish you. Shall I tell you why we have brought you here? To cure you! To make you sane! Will you understand, Winston, that no one whom we bring to this place ever leaves our hands uncured? We are not interested in those stupid crimes that you have committed. The Party is not interested in the overt act: the thought is all we care about. We do not merely destroy our enemies; we change them. Do you understand what I mean by that?”
– 1984, George Orwell

Since the 1990’s, there has been a push to make thought illegal, to punish, bully, and control those who are guilty of merely THINKING in an incorrect manner, which the GROUP has declared to be evil. There is a push to make everyone the same. Hillary Clinton and the power brokers she represented, were the spearhead of that push, to continue to homogenize and control America. Real Americans rose up in revolt, and stopped her. You are not bad because you think climate change is a hoax, or homosexuality is sin, or that bathrooms for men should be for men, or women for women. You’re not bad because you’d like your country to remain American, or fear an influx of refugees that might contain terrorists. You’re not wrong to love Christ or reject evolution. These are merely examples of groupthink at work, attempting to make you villains and enemies of the State SOLELY because you THOUGHT WRONG. What we did on Tuesday was the utter repudiation of the thought police in this country who were on track towards absolute victory. The media are their mouthpieces. They are the Ministry of Truth, redefining reality to suit the party line. Expect to hear the repeated mantra of “racist, xenophobe, homophobe, misogynist” in the days ahead. They refer not only to Trump, who is none of those things, but to you, average American, for backing him, or at the least, failing to agree with THE GROUP. They are attempting to shame us, make us fear, change us, because they don’t like how we think and do not believe we have any right to do so. The people who voted Trump are not rubes, they’re not uneducated, they’re not racist, but they ARE quite disturbed with the direction our nation was going. So they chose to act. It will take decades to repair the damage the politburo has done, but repair it we shall. We really are going to Make America Great Again.

Sweet Victory

In my house, Presidential Elections are bigger than the Super Bowl, bigger than the World Cup, bigger than the Olympics, because unlike those other things, elections actually matter.

Let me say first of all how very grateful to God I am, who answered our prayers that the election would be full and fairly won, that the loser would not only be Hillary Clinton, but that she would also concede the election without contest.

I have been a Trump supporter from the earliest days of the nomination process. From the moment he announced his candidacy from Trump tower, I knew I was looking at the next President of the United States. The reason was simple: he fights. Trump says what he means, does what he says, and is not AT ALL afraid to hit back, and hit harder, when attacked. And HOLY LORD how the attacks came. I have watched events unfold for the past year, as my fellow patriots and I prepared to do something that for all our words and argumentation seemed to get lost in all the vitriol: seize power from the political class in Washington and put a man in office who represents US. We have, in short, conducted a bloodless coup.

My advice to all the people who lacked vision, who seemed incapable of either reason or logic in all of this, who got caught up in the emotion of the moment and took their place in the usual GOP circular firing squad is this: remain calm. Because unlike Obama, this time there is real Hope, and we will ALL benefit from real, and desperately needed, Change. We need to pull together to make ALL our politicians serve our interests, and should they refuse, run them out of office like we have done with Obama.

It’s a new day, America. Enjoy the ride. #MAGA

On Choice and Destiny

I am re-reading the NT again, and something occurred to me as I was perusing the genealogy of Joseph, Jesus’ adoptive human father. Phares was the son of Tamar, the product of incest with her father Judah, due to some bizarre circumstances unique to Ancient Near Eastern culture. Had modern “reproductive rights” been available to Tamar, she could have aborted that child, and the law specifically states today that she could – it would even be encouraged. She instead had twins, Phares and Zara. She let the unwanted, socially unacceptable children live. These children’s names and bloodlines would go on to be recorded in Matthew chapter 1 as the distant ancestors of Joseph, the man who would be father to Christ, teach him how to be a man, and how to be a carpenter.

Another thought. Mary had, her protestations of innocence and conception by a miracle of the Holy Ghost notwithstanding, by all appearances become pregnant out of wedlock. Joseph, whose ancestors included the children of incest, was minded to annul the betrothing (bride price had been paid, wedding feast had not yet occurred, and the marriage had not been consummated) privately. Another unplanned pregnancy that would surely end in abortion today. The Holy Spirit assured him that in this instance the woman was telling the truth and the tiny embryo in her womb was the product of a once-in-human-history miracle – the Incarnation. So he married her as planned, even though he would be fully within his rights to cancel the union.

When the conveniences of antiseptic, state-sponsored genocide are common, who knows what has been lost so that women can “choose” (a polite term for murder without consequences)? How many children like Phares and Zara will never take their place in history? How many brilliant people will never be born, so the modern day worshippers of Moloch can have their child sacrifice?

Had Tamar and Mary exercised their “choice”, the consequences to the world would have been enormous.
